Re: Leather Furniture?
I found leather not to my liking. In the summer you stick to it, in the winter, it's cold and don't sit down with anything in your pocket (keys etc)!!

Re: Leather Furniture?
My parents have a beautiful set, and it's very comfortable. I am also leaning toward leather for my living room. My mom tells me that in the case of leather furniture, quality matters tremendously, because inexpensive leather is very hot and sticky in the summer.

Re: Leather Furniture?
We have a leather sofa. Jay had it before we got the house, so I had no choice. I prefenot to have it, but starting to LIKE it. I dont like it..like someone mentioned..in the summer its too hot, and the winter its cold. The pillows dont sit up right. Why I LOVE it..Its SO COMFORTABLE. If you spill anything on it, its so easy to clean, and my cat doesnt scratch at it. Whereas, if we had a material couche, he would scratch it to threads.

We have a nail-head leather sofa, chair & ottoman. We love it. Ours is similar to this:
I can't say we've ever had problems with it being cold in the winter or sticky in the summer.

We have a leather couch and loveseat...got it from Levitz last year. Love it! I don't find it sticky/hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. Maybe it depends on the quality of the leather. It's cushy and comfy and has survived quite a few spills already.
BTW-our leather has proved NOT to be kitty claw proof. My darling furry one has left his marks everywhere Guess that this is a good way to practice tolerance for when we have kids!!

Re: Leather Furniture?
My parents have a leather set in the living room. Before we moved it was in the living room/family room where it got a lot of wear and tear. They did get worn out but they have lasted for years. I think they bought them about 12 years ago maybe later than that. My dad says they would have lasted longer if they were not used so much. But there was no way to avoid that and those poor couches were literally being abused! Between me and my sis throwing each other around, the dog and my mom's big behind, they wore out.

We purchased a black leather sectional from seamens a few years ago and LOVE it. It's soft and feels SOOOOOOo good. We have never experienced it getting cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
