Leather Seats, Please Help!

Leather Seats, Please Help!

Hi,

We have leather seats in our car. My DH is worried that the car seat will ruin the leather on the seats. I heard there is something that you can buy that you can put under the car seat... However is this safe??

Is there anyway to protect our leather seats??
Thanks,
Denise

Re: Leather Seats, Please Help!

We just had our car seat installed at 'Right Start' this weekend. They recommended the Grip It Mat (folded in half) for our leather seats when we saw that the car seat was sliding a bit. The Mat definately made it move less, which seems safer to me. We weren't even thinking about protecting the seat -- just getting the car seat to be as secure as possible. So, while I'm no expert, I thought it was safer with a mat than without.

We had one of those mats that goes inbetween the car seat and the leather... we used it for all of a week and couldnt stand it anymore so I got rid of it ( maybe it was just the one we had was so bulky??) anyway we have had 3 different car seats in total and have had them in the same spot in our car for the last 2 years and the leather still looks perfect underneath!
