Leaving Deposits

Starting to get all my vendors and was wondering what the best way to leave a deposit. CC or checks?

Personally, I'd say CC.

SOmetimes cash will save tax (depending on vendor) whoever I could do this with, I did.

Cash helped negotiate cost and or tax. I think we paid cash for everything. But I would say CC in case there is a problem with a vendor if it makes you feel more comfortable.

we are using all cash so we dont have any debt after the wedding. Also like the other ladies said we dont have to pay any tax if we pay cash with some vendors.

We too negotiated no tax deals and paid by check...credit card charges can only be disputed within a certain timeframe depending on the card

It is always good to leave a paper trail in case anything happens. CC is good but sometimes a vendor may charge you more so it really depends on the vendors.

We have payed all our deposits with cash or check. We aren't chargjng anything. We want no debit after the wedding.

Even though I am paying with cash, you must remember to get receipts for everything!! I have a binder I keep everything in. It only saves you money when you have the paperwork to prove it. You never know when someone will turn around and be shady!
