Leaving reception in wedding dress? Or changing there?
We are staying in a hotel the night of the reception, then leaving for HM the next morning at some ungodly hour. Anyway, are you changing out of the dress and tux at the reception place? I don't want to bring the dress on the HM obviously, and I don't know how FH would get the tux to anyone to return if we left in our clothes...But it seems silly changing into HM clothes to go the the hotel? Plus I kind of wanted to be taken out of my wedding dress....

Girl you better leave that dress on!!!! There should only be one reason to take it off and that's the honeymoon night!! Ask a close friend or even your mom to come and pick up your stuff the next day. But dont take off your dress, you paid a whole bunch of money for it!!! Where it for as long as you can!!

have your parents pick the dres up for you at the hotel - just leave it withthe concierge or the desk - just give the name of who is picking it up -

I agree. I couldn't even imagine taking it off and I haven't even worn it yet?

I agree. I couldn't even imagine taking it off and I haven't even worn it yet?
hahahaha i totally hear you girls!!!! Even though i havent even bought my dress yet (or went shopping for one for that matter) i plan on wearing it as long as i can. FH is gonna have to pry me out of that thing!!!

I wore mine to a bar afterward!!! We went out with friends and I actually have pics! And the bartender wouldn't let DH pay for anything!!

Me too!! We stayed at the Roslyn Claremont, and went to the bar there after our reception. I proudly wore that dress all night.
But I almost got stuck in it. My alterations were all screwed up so I had about 50 straight pins holding it together up top. My DH was so buzzed, he couldn't get all of the pins and I almost had to sleep in it!

My dad is picking us up at the hotel the next day to take us to the airport. He will take my dress to his house & return fh's tux with his own.
Friends of had left for the airport at 3 am or something, so they changed in to cute outfits at the end of reception- a hawiian shirt for him & dress for her, with mickey mouse ears on them. they LOVE disney & were going to Hawaii for their HM , so it was cute.

we left our hotel at 4am for the airport...I wore my dress from the reception, to DH house to pick up luggage, and while we ran up and down the elevator in the hotel tillw e changed to hang out in the bar at night with our friends!!!

I'm wearing my dress back to the hotel for the wedding night and after-party. We'll arrange with MOH/BM to pick up the dress and tuxes the next morning.

I guess I'll be the only one to say that I had that dress off before leaving the reception venue! It wasn't as comfortable to me as my regular clothes, so I changed before heading out to the bar with friends. I felt it had gotten its full use...but that's just me I guess.
