Left Over Cake Box???

Did anyone buy a box for the left over cake? My Mom bought me one because when my sister got married she said they just wrapped her cake in tin foil. HUMMMMM Is that normal?

Well anyway, My mom got me a fancy box now. LOL

no but my RH put it in a box, it was a bakery type box. I guess they have it for this reason. Or maybe the bakery i bought my cake from dropped it off so i can take the top of the cake home

When I had my final meeting with my RH I specifically asked if I had to bring in a box. They told me not to worry about it bc they have them for that specific reason. I'd definitely ask your RH.

The bakery that i got my cake from supplied a box that was the perfect size for the top layer to take it home.

If you plan on keeping the cake and freezing it for your first anniversary, you should freeze for a short time, wrap it in plastic, not aluminum foil which causes freezer burn and put it in some sort of airtight container. Those bakery boxes wont keep it fresh

Re: Left Over Cake Box???

My RH gave me a bakery box..

.. I opted to only freeze a slice of it for our first anniversary.. everyone says it tastes disgusting the next year no matter how you freeze it, but I wanted to still save a slice for tradition's sake... but we ate the rest of the top tier the day after the wedding with my family to enjoy it while it was still fresh.. Plus I didn't want to take up my whole tiny freezer on a whole cake tier that wouldn't even taste good in the end..

I wrapped my single slice in plastic wrap, then put it in a ziploc sandwich bag, then put that in a tupperware...
