Are they back in? Because I just saw some lady walking down Broadway in purple leather pants, a hot pink t-shirt, and hot pink leg warmers. Oh, she had on purple pumps too. And NO, she was NOT a professional dancer.....

How odd.. I saw a lady with a yellow tshirt, dark jeans with blue & white stripped leg warmers on last night on the train. SHe had one metalic blue loop earring and one gold loop earring. Blue with white sneakers too.
Honestly, there are days I wish they were still cool to wear!

From the looks of this woman she didn't look to 'UP' on fashion, so I wouldn't worry. Her pocketbook was a heafty black garbage bag. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I somehow don't see that being 'IN'

LeeLee and I were waiting for Shamma in front of H&M in the city and we were looking at the winder. They had all these manaquins with high heel pumps w/ leg warmers and these crazy polka dot shirts. I hope that part of the 80's does not come back. I say we should boycott it.

I saw a girl on the train last night who looked like an 80's transplant! she had dyed orange-red hair w/ roots showing (ala cindy lauper), green eyeshadow on top, purple eyeshadow on bottom and blue eyeliner to complete the look. She was wearing a t-shirt w/ a purple unicorn (!!) on it with the collar cut off (flashdance style), and a purple tank top underneath --I was standing right in front of her so I couldn't help thinking I just stepped into 1985... the only thing she was missing was the legwarmers!

I hated leg warmers even when I was a kid...one time I remember my mom forced me to wear them (because I begged her for a pair and then I wound up hating them and never wanted to wear them) and I cried!!!!

I had them in almost every color - patterned ones too. BUT I only wore them to dance class. I never understood the 80s fashion craze for leg warmers *outside* of dance classes.

God. I loved them!!! I wore them to the roller rink with my Jet Set min skirt outfits!!!
I just won't do the winged hair and I don't think I could ever wear a roach clip with feathers on it again.
And now that I got my hair straightened the banana clip would be a look I couldn't go back to.
