ok can someone fill me on the proper etiquette re: length of wedding dresses?
My future mother in law just bought her dress. She will be wearing a beige knee length dress.
my mother is planning to wear a light blue knee length dress.
my matron of honor is planning to wear a long dark green gown..
is this appropriate? should they ALL be wearing long skirt gowns? or should i tell my MOH to get a different dress that has a shorter skirt length?
does it matter? should the colors all match? my wedding colors are pastels - light blue and silver/gray.

I don't think the lengths necessarily have to match, nor do the colors for MOB and MOG gowns.....but shouldn't your MOH be wearing one of your wedding colors????

My mom wore a long dress, my MIL wore knee length as did my BMs/MOH. It looked great!

I dont think the lengths really matter.. It depends totally on what they are comfortable with. My mom will prob. be wearing a knee length dress and FMIL Always wears long things so she will probably be wearing a long dress. All my girls will be in gowns.
So when it comes to MOB and MOG dresses its whatever they prefer. At least IMO.

Length shouldn't matter but, if you are having other bridesmaids, will they also match the MOH's color?

Unless you're having a very formal wedding I don't think the length matters... I think that both the mothers wearing knee length dresses is fine.. It will probably look like its planned!
