To my Christian/Catholic brides, what are you giving up for Lent?
I am giving up bread and sweets.

Re: Lent
I am lutheran, but we still give up something in my family.
Carbonated drinks- it will help my tummy flatten and it is the hardest thing I can think of

Re: Lent
Soda and dessert. However, if my shower happens before Easter, I'm totally allowing myself to have some cake. God will forgive me.

Re: Lent
My tradition was to always give up meat. But honestly, this year I rather give up something else. I'm just not sure what yet.

That's a good idea.. I stopped in my FH's class and they were mentioning things to take on... Good luck!

Re: Lent
Any sweets in general. Unless there is a special occassion, such as a birthday, but even then I'll just have a bite of cake for good luck but not a whole piece.

Re: Lent
Good question - I just realized this morning that it starts tomorrow...
It would probably be smart to give up soda, but I don't think I can do it!
