***Leonard's Girls***We had our meeting with Ian at Leonard's

So yesterday we had our meeting with Ian at Leonard's and it went really well. I was so nervous about the cake part. We saw the book and there are about 15-20 cakes to pick from and only 2 come standard so you will most likely want to upgrade. We won't find out the upgrade price until sometime this week because the cake was just added to their book. Other than that we really didn't change anything. We had to pick out our ice sculpture which I think I am going to change. Also the menu cards aren't bad they are just white card stock and have a really nice black font so that will save us some money.

If you have any questions about what Ian does just let me know.

Anyway here is a picture of the cake we picked the layers will be separated by mini edible pearls:

We have to pay extra for it but not sure how much. This cake was just added to their book so he's going to check with the baker to find out how much extra it will be. The book has about 15-20 cakes to pick from they are all pretty much white cakes and only 2 of them come standard. They aren't that great but not as bad as I thought. They just got a new cake book with all new styles in it. When I find out the upgrade price I will let you know.

Ok yea, definitely let me know, cuz thats almost the exact cake that i want. Does it onl come in white? Or can you get different colors like beige/brown?

They can make it in any color you want. Hopefully I will find out this week!

Thanks for the info! So Im meeting with Ian this thursday and I wanted to know.... who is he exactly? Is he the exec chief or will he be our MD that day?

Also, can you reccommend what to bring for that day? Like for instance, I didnt realize that they were going to make us choose our ice sculpture so now I will bring a pic of what I want.. anything that you think we should bring to be prepared?

Oh also, the standard cakes (which I was told were 3, but guess not lol) are they fondant?

standard cakes are only 2- and they r ancient looking lol so def not fondant

I think Ian is just like the finisher I think that he just does this meeting to get everything in order and that's about it. I didn't bring a picture of a cake because honestly I was so lost after looking at thousands. The cakes that come standard are not fondant the one we chose is so they can do fondant.

As for the ice sculpture I didn't know we would have to pick it that day either I really wasn't prepared for that so he just named 4 things they can do he said bride and groom, cinderella, a heart with love birds and 2 swans kissing with a heart in between. We chose the swans but I want to take a look online and see if I find anything else if not I think the swans will be pretty.

Ian gave us place cards that I really am not too fond of so I don't think I will be using their place cards.

The only thing we brought was our contract to make sure we were getting everything that was originally agreed upon. I would bring pictures of ice sculptures.

He also goes over your room set up and tables and all that good stuff.

I will let you all know how much the upgrade for the cake is when Ian gets back to me.

Yea, they threw in the ice sculpture in the beginning when we made the contract. I think everyone gets menu cards.

we are paying for our ice sculpture its 300 extra but they threw in a couple of other things for us.. so cant complain too much lol

They said their baker is a hired private baker.
