I'm going to Leonard's on Sat to (most likely) sign the contract. Any advice from Leonard's brides?
I want to upgrade the menu (a lot) to include sushi, sea food, duck, carving stations, etc for the CH; the Vienese table; and a lot more food for the sit down dinner. Anyone has any ideas how much extra this will cost (individually or together)?
Thanks!

Re: LEONARD'S menu
we only added the mexican station to the coctail hour menu, picked the second choice for the sit down dinner, and added the viennase table the price came out to be $100 per person (so it is really not that bad)

All, I can say is baby...try to negotiate in the price. See if he can knock down maybe $5-10 off per person. (They love a challenge) You never know , that way you can have more. I did not do it, when I booked, I was very scared. In the long run, I regret not speaking up for myself. Now, if I want anything thrown in, I will have to pay more money. Good Luck!!!

Re: LEONARD'S menu
That's why I'm going to you girls for ideas of what to expect . I was told that just desserts by themselves range $3-$12.
Oh and chair covers are $4pp. If I can get another CH station for that price pp, I think I'll do that instead of chair covers (I mean they're off white anyway).

Re: LEONARD'S menu
We added some things to reduce traffic (and it did!): Butler appetizer (i think 3pp) Wine at tables (i think 300 total)
A cordials bar at the end of reception was a big hit (4 pp)
And ice cream with cake (1.50pp) because the new husband wanted an ice cream wedding cake hee hee
I hope this helps!
ETA cost (although I really don't remember) And I'm sure we could have gotten it lower!
In my opinion, the vieneese was way too much and most people are tired by then anyway so we didn't do it - the cordials bar served to take the place of the vienese

Yes, yes, yes! Definitely speak up! Express how much you want certain items on the menu, and when they tell u the extra costs, you negotiate... and ask them to throw in the seat covers. That's what we did.
Overall, my guestimate is that you're looking at a $15-$20pp increase for those extra items.

Re: LEONARD'S menu
also, I am thinking you dont need to add so many stations to your coctail hour (unless you really really want to) their basic coctail hour menu is plenty enough I think, we only added one station... what do you girls think?

I agree... there's sooooooo much food to begin with. The CH, the appetizer, the dinner, and then dessert. Loads of food.

Re: LEONARD'S menu
Girls, you are absolutely right - for normal people that is enough food. However I come from a Russian background, and all the guests will be used to a lot of food and alcohol. (Big portions and a lot of variety -- Very very spoiled.)
But the prices that you listed are not so bad. We have about a $20 range that we can play with. Did anyone add more courses to their dinner table?
Oh yea, and I'm bringing my mom to help me bargain!!!!

Oh my God! Be prepared to eat like you've never eaten! They bring a little bit of everything to your table... EVERYTHING! Make sure you don't eat before & after you go.

Re: LEONARD'S menu
When we signed our contract we asked to have the chair covers thrown in for free and they wouldn't but they told us and wrote in our contract that they are $3 pp so try to negotiate as much as you can.
