Leonards of Great Neck
So I promised a review of Leonards from my christmas party this past Friday night. Sorry it was delayed but I wound up working this weekend.
It isn't very much but this is what I remember.
Keep in mind there was I would say a good 100+ electricians in a room and some brought significant others.
We were greated right at the door by a maitre'd who asked us what party we were with. Our party was in the penthouse. The place itself was gorgeous. Never been there before.
The food was good. They served everything buffet to keep things easy. I noticed that some of the staff was really young kids that weren't too knowledgeable about catering things. Nothing major except for the bowl of ice with Coronas and a bottle of Cuervo Tequila in it. The kid that worked the carving station was sneaking numerous shots behind the buffet. I thought that was highly tacky that a staff member would do that in very plain sight, but my whole table was hysterical laughing at how he did it.
On the way out I hit the ladies room which there was a line of 4 women in front of me. Then when we got in the elevator to go to the car the door opened and we got out on the wrong floor. I think the elevator operator could have told us. But I was slightly buzzed so I thought walking down the flight of stairs in 2 inch heals was a great exercise :)
So told you all that that wasn't much.... but I hope it helps :)
ETA: the valets had a pile of keys on the floor of their booth and it took a while to get the car. Luckily I had a key to press the remote start while we waited cause it was FREEZING out!
