less than a week... questions

i've been really busy and getting really nervous about my engagement party that is less than a week away. I have a few questions and was hoping someone would help me out.

my party starts at 7 so lets say that everyone is there at that time and music (and party) starts exactly at 7, how long until the food get served?? and then after that, how long until we cut the cake? and then the whole greeting tables thing...

also, passing out of favors. i have a doc and going to see her tomorrow to go over everything and going to phone conference with rh on wednesday, but i dunno if im suppose to figure out the timing? or is it something that is known? and another issue. the pope is going to be in ny on the same day of my party and was wondering how much earlier do my guests need to leave their houses because of the potential traffic??

if you are starting at 7, I'd start starting about 7:45-8pm. As for cake, usually about an hour b4 the party ends.
your DOC can go over everythign with you and give suggestions

If you are having it at an RH dont even sweat the timeline. The RH will let you know when its time for everything.
You go around and greet tables as you want-whenever you arent eating or enjoying yourself.

Dont worry about it-the RH will take care of the food, cake cutting, etc. You just go and enjoy yourself

dont worry they will take care of everything and let you know ahead of time, you dont really have to worry about this.

For us our epart we were there before guests so as they came in we greeted them. Passed hors dourves started as soon as guests were coming in. Food i think was around 9 or 10 i forgot. Cake cutting is more towards the end probably an hour before it ends
