less than thrilled...

I went for a trial with a popular makeup vendor expecting to have the best trial ever. (I was hoping it was going to be so great that I didn't need to go on any other trials) Anyway, I'm pretty good at applying my own makeup and I think I do it better than she did. It was caked on to the point where you can see me pores, one cheek had more foundation than the other, there was left over eye powder under my eye, and the color eye shadow was not matching the picture I showed, and the eye liner was too thick. Yet, in the pictures, it looked like it came out nice. Now I'm thinking that pictures are deceiving. I had to go home and wipe some off and fix it! SooOO...I'm back to square one. Any suggestions?

sorry you had a bad experience. however, you need to remember that in person your make-up will look a little heavier/darker because you want it to show up well in your pictures & video.

I know, and I'm usually used to wearing makeup..especially when I go out. However, I do want to look pretty in person and not just for photos.

So sorry.... That must be so frustruating! I am hoping I don't have to go one more than one trial too...


Would you mind FM'ing me the vendor? I plan on making an appointment with a popular vendor and now I am a little nervous.

I highly reccommend Maureen Pedala. She is very pricey compared to others but imo does fantastic work. Her and her sister work together (her sister does hair)(but you dont have to book them both if you dont want). They do weddings on the weekends and during the week they are the hair and makeup artists for a few different of the major morning news shows.
