As someone who came over to LIW from the Knot, I've realized that there are a lot of vendors who are talked about/recommended on the Knot that aren't so commonly known on LIW and vice versa. Like, I'd never heard about Tarale before coming to LIW but I don't think many people had heard about Maureen Pedala before I started going crazy posting pics from my makeup trial with her ()--meanwhile, she's all over the Knot.
So, in the spirit of getting some new names out there for the girls who are still looking for vendors, I thought it would be good to post the names of some people that we've heard of but maybe aren't as well known on LIW?
Most of the ones I know are photographers since I met with soooo mannnny before deciding. I've heard good things about the following vendors:
Jinsey is amazing! My wedding planner told me what a great photographer she is.

hey jenniesunshine! i love somethin in blue's work and i'm thinking about making an appointment w/them. i actually found out about them on theknot and was surprised that not many LIW brides have used them. what did you think when you met w/them?

I have to rave about Bill Fredericks Photography. I thought he was great!!! And the only vendor who called me multiple times after we met while I was making my decision. Why didn't I use him? It was a really tough decision and I chose Duet bc all of this things that came with their pakg, but Bill was my 2nd choice....I

lcherian-I actually didn't meet with SIB only because I was too lazy to trek out to Brooklyn. That borough really confuses me But I saw a number of great reviews on The Knot.
Backinnewyork--I also met with Bill and thought he was great. He definitely made some serious follow-up calls too--at least 6 over a few months. He was super nice as was his assistant. He was also our 2nd choice. I loved the engagement pics he showed us--one couple included their DOG!
