i was interested in one of the lessings locations and when i called i spoke with lenore. she sounded very nice on the phone, but i have been reading some posts indicating that the best thing is to stay away from her. is this still the case? can anyone provide any info - good/bad?

btw - i have not actually seen the place yet, so i'm wondering if i should request to speak to someone else instead (ben/mike - i think?)

depends on location.. ben and neil are my favs! i haven't dealt with lenore
neil is alwyas super reachable.. ben is good too

I actually met with her and she was very nice and helpful, and called me for a follow up. We went with a different Lessings location, just because we liked the room better-FM me is you want more info.

Well, this is just my opinion......But When I went to look at all the Lessing Properties I found that they needed some work! The Broken concrete on the front steps at the Country club bothered me. I have elderly people coming and would feel horrible if they fell. And we went to the Timberpoint and I found the wait staff not to friendly and the dance floor way off to one side. So we kept looking and and ended up at Flowerfields.

We ended up going with Smithtown Landing (it is a Lessings) and it is beautiful. Lisa could not be any nicer or more helpful-we love her. My FH wanted Bluepoint on tap ,and she got it, no issue, no extra charge. We wanted to use all three rooms (ceremony, CH, and Reception all in different locations) again-no problem. When we went for a tasting the staff, especially the bartender (Tommy who we requested for our wedding) was amazing, they could not offer us enough, but where never pushy. We can't wait for our Wedding-we just know they are going to do an amazing job. I would recommend them to anyone.

thanks all for feedback. i called lenore again b/c i haven't heard back from her and spoke with Ben who said Neil will likely call me back. Hopefully i'll get a call-back soon. i really wanna go see the location and so does FH -i think he really envisions having our reception at the location.

okay - now i'm really upset. i spoke with lenore last week to inquire about one of the lessings locations. i asked her for pricing and she provided me the pph, min, etc. and i asked her several times if that was correct price, for the specific location. 3 times i think. she said yes. so fh and i wanted to go see it. i spoke with ben a few mins ago (he was very nice), and asked if lenore had given me prices and i said yes and repeated them to him. he said those prices are not the prices - it's actually almost $40 per head more than she quoted me!! ahhhh - we can't afford that. but we don't want a regular catering hall. i just wanted to vent.
