Lessings Caterers??
Has anyone booked their reception at any of the Lessing locations (Timber Point, West Sayville CC, Riverview Restaurant) or has any one heard/been to a wedding there? What''s the pp amount?? I read some old messages from last year and from what I''ve read they have an excellent reputation!! ANY info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Lessings Caterers??
Hi! I am having my wedding reception at the Smithtown Landing Country Club which is one of Lessing's Locations. So far they have been really wonderful to us. The price was right too. We are paying about $62 pp for a Saturday night wedding in Sept. My parents went to a tasting last year (I live in NC) and they said the food was very good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've also only heard good things about them. Ofcourse I'll have a better opinion after the big day. Good Luck.

I haven't gone for my tasting yet. but i was told the food is very good. I hope you have a chance to go see it. If you do, go in the afternoon the sunset its beautiful. Good luck.

Lessings Caterers??
Hi Lisa, I came about a hairs'breadth away from signing a contract at West Sayville Country Club. It is SO beautiful. But surprisingly, I went with a completely different Lessing location, Coindre Hall, and I'm using Philip Stone Catering, not Lessing. I did a tasting of the food at Timber Piont Country Club, and it was just okay. Not really all that exciting. Philip Stone, on the other hand, was unbelievable. And they'll do ANYTHING. I'm having a Friday night wedding in June 2002 and paying $65/person for four buffet stations (rather than a sit-down meal) and wine & beer, but not full bar. West Sayville was $69/person for a full sit-down meal, for a Friday night. I know the price was higher for Saturdays. Good luck!Welcome New Vendors
