Lessing's - Service Fee

Has anyone booked with a Lessing's property yet? (Bourne Mansion, Vanderbilt Mansion, Timber Point, etc).

If so, any idea what the 18% service fee includes? Who is that 18% distributed to?

Any idea who the service fee is for? The wait staff? The coordinator? Etc?

Or are we obligated to tip everyone individually on TOP of the service fee?

i believe every hall has a service fee.....

They do..this usually goes to the waiters and the bartenders and such...when you give the Maitre'D a tip, that tip only goes to them, it doesn't get distributed to the rest of the staff...the 18% covers gratuity for them.

any idea what the average tip amount would be? $100? or is that too little?

some places give you a range....some will say anywhere from $3 to $5 per person...so 100 people at your wedding would be 300-500

oh ok...these wedding fees are starting to cost a fortune!
