I just got a leave replacement...For a special ed classroom. I have 6 emotionally disterbed 5 year olds. THey are not functioning on grade level. Part of the curcriculem (i cant spell) they need to do SS lessons with community...and Im going BLANK!!!! ahhh....I dont know why I cant come u with anything.... any ideas...

Exploring various community jobs (especially pulling in literature) - possibly drama play of the community rolls (social skills are a big need of EI kids)

If possible, taking them to visit or welcomi9ng in guest speakers from various community jobs- ESPECIALLY cops and firemen- they are faves among the little ones

THanks so much....It's hard to teach a complete lesson with my children. They are very aggressive. There attention span is very very small....I try so hard ya know...
Everything is kinda just thrown at me. And im very overwelmed...My teacher assistants are very negitive bc they have had such a hard year..and they jsut dont want to be bothered i feel ..ugh ... thanks for letting me vent

Maybe even do something with the school community... gives them a chance to get out of the room and get to know the school more and the people who work there
