let me ask a question.....

Does anyone have and idea for a super cheap getaway for our HM?

We have our son already and were checking out Jamaica and cruises to New England, and all of those seem really great, but does any one have any other suggestions? (ie, travelling to another state, just not doing the pocono thing)....

I was going to suggest a cruise. I've heard that they're practically giving them away lately! There is a cruise that goes from NY to Bermuda, so you don't have to worry about flying anywhere first.
How long did you want to go for? Are you taking your son with you or is someone watching him while you and your DH are away? I'll keep brainstorming on some other ideas!

Go to California. Airfare is relatively cheap (check out JetBlue). Stay in Napa Valley (they are about 1 hour from each other) and/or San Francisco.

We would like to leave him with a relative, but dont want to be gone for a full week... The cali idea.. would you reccommend any particular hotels?

you can always priceline hotels if you're not too picky. just pick how many stars you want .. we always have good luck with that and you get great prices

Check out Block Island in RI (B&B) or Kennebunkport, Maine or someplace in New England there are hundreds of B&B's where you are catered to (little extras) & it is not your standard hotel (jacuzzi tub in room, robes, afternoon goodies, etc.). :) Good luck

what about Vegas... it can be cheap if you search the deals on the internet and Jet Blue has very reasonable fares.

Vegas is a great idea....the airfare is usually very inexpensive...If you want to take a road trip...Ocean City, Maryland is about 5 hours away and alot of fun!!
