am going Wednesday to talk to my priest to set a date and time. The reception hall we are close to booking is about 15 - 20 minutes away from the church and we need to get there by 12:30 to be able to take pictures there. What time should I request for the ceremony? I am thinking 10:30 but does anyone know if churches close off that time for funerals??? Becuase I think that time would be best- 10:30-11:30 for mass and 11:30-12:00 for pisutres at church then off to the reception.

My best friend had this problem. The earliest the church would marry them is 11am on a Saturday. This is the church she grew up in so she didn't go to other churches. So it may just be this church.

My church gave told me the times they have available are
11am 2pm 4pm

Hmmm...seems like I am getting the same response from all - I guess i'll see but will most likely have to pick 11am and deal....

Our church is also about 15 minutes from the receptions. Ceremony is at 10:30am and cocktail hour starts at 1pm. Should give us enough time to get pics done and also get to at least half of our cocktail hour.
