I am going Wednesday to talk to my priest to set a date and time. The reception hall we are close to booking is about 15 - 20 minutes away from the church and we need to get there by 12:30 to be able to take pictures there. What time should I request for the ceremony? I am thinking 10:30 but does anyone know if churches close off that time for funerals??? Becuase I think that time would be best- 10:30-11:30 for mass and 11:30-12:00 for pisutres at church then off to the reception.
Let me know your thoughts, please...

You'd have to check with your church. Mine won't let me have a mass before 11AM on a Sat b/c of funerals. I'm going to put 10:45 on my invitations so that we can start promptly at 11. I wanted 10:30 also!

our church had set times that you had to pick from 11, 1:30 and 3. i thought most churches operated that way - i didn't think you could pick your own time.

I think it really depends on the church. Mine let me pick whatever time but I'm getting married on a Friday...I'm not sure how Saturday works.

well we went last night and wwhen I asked ofr 10:30 - he said 11:00. So we chose 11. I hope it all works out smoothly. I will be telling my guests b/w 10:30 or 10:45 to start - so it will start promptly at 11.
