first of all, my friends did a fantastic job. I had the best time and am so happy and honored that they went through so much time and EXPENSE for me. they are really the best friends a girl could ask for.
now, since we did a full weekend in the city, I thought I would give a mini review of the places we visited, so if any is interested, the have an idea of what to expect.

S.O.B.'s (Sounds of Brazil) Varick St. NYC (B+) If you like spanish/latin music and dancing, and also LIVE music, this is a GREAT place. Food is awesome (brazilian) and the drinks are potent. The biggest downside is that the place is PACKED! at times you felt like a pinball or a bumper car trying to dance (especially with all of the turning in latin music) Still, I had a great time...lot's of guys to flirt with LOL, including the SUPER HOT and MARRIED bartender.

We went on a Friday night. If you make dinner reservations before 7:30, you don't pay a cover charge. Entrees range bet. $16 and $25. Lot's of meat and seafood. really great stuff.
Oasis Day Spa (32nd and Park Ave. location- Athis is a very nice spa. the staff is very friendly, and they are accommodating without being very pushy. they do 'parties' frequently, and even provided catering for us ($25 pp) I had Christine V. for a facial, and she was AWESOME. My skin looked amazing and CLEAN, and it still does. I had Dennis for a massage. It was ok, but I realized, I don't really like massages that much, and 60 mins was too long for me. I was bored-not his fault. I also had a mani/pedi with Gloria- she was great too. Very sweet and did a great job. I realized that while 60 mins. back massage is too much for me...a 60 mins hand massage would be right up my alley. LOL We did encounter a little confusion around check out, so that was a little annoying, but all in all, I would definitely recommend this place.
Mangia i Bevi -A what can I say about this place. It's VERY popular with bachelorettes (there was about 7 of them there during the time I was) but it is TONS of fun. the food is really good and the drinks are YUMMY-the price is surprisingly low too (entress less than $20) they do make you wait until your entire party has arrived before they seat you, but that inconvenience is really not caused by them...but by all of your LATE friends LOL. I can't fault them for that. I am still trying to find out how the 'blow job shot guy' got that job in the first place...lucky boy!! LOL had a great time dancing on the chairs, and dancing merengue with the VERY attentive staff.
Marcha Latina Party at Salon- A+ Jane St. NYC
this probably won't be of interest to many, but I LOVE going to these roaming parties. this time it was at Salon. I had a BLAST...especially dancing on top of the bar to one of my FAVORITE Shakira songs of all time, Ciega Sordomuda. especially when all of my girls were singing with me. It is one of my favorite memories of the night.
Brasserie LCB (La) Cote Basque)- A+ Great restaurant, great food, great service. this place has been around for years as La Cote Basque. the brunch pre-fixe is $26, but worth every penny. was a great way to wind down a CRAZY weekend.
Hudson Hotel- B+ ok, so we picked this hotel b/c is was a boutique hotel and I know the area well since I went to both high school and college in the area. the hotel itself is really nice and they have a great bar. the rooms themselves were kind of disappointing, but maybe my expectations were too high. we had a suite, which was nice but very DIMLY lit...was very hard for 4 women to apply makeup LOL the pull out couch bed was not very comy, and the bed itself wasn't either (I've had better sleep at a Best Western) but the ambience was nice and like I said, location was great for us. Worth checking out, but keep these things in mind before you shell out the big bucks LOL
now, on to the entertainment.
my friend Michael let us 'borrow' his apt. since the Hudson WOULD NOT ALLOW A 'PARTY' in the room. he lives on the upper west side. When we left Mangia i Bevi, I was blindfolded and marched a to my friend Maureens car...after a lot of laughs, we arrived at our destination. I get upstairs, was unmasked just long enough to see Michael and say goodbye...then I was reblindfolder and HOGTIED LOL and doused with water! then a few minutes later, I hear the door open...and feel myself being lifted very EASILY off the floor...then the fun began
I had two of the HOTTEST men I have EVERY seen twisting my body in more directions than I knew was possible! LOL they were funny, sweet, respectful and oh yeah HOTTTTTTTTT! none of the super cheesy and gross stripper stuff...just tons of fun....after they were done with me...I let them loose on all of my friends! It was so much fun. they wished me luck, and were on their way. It was GREAT! If anyone is interested in their contact info, I'll get it for you (was not Hunkamania)
