Well, my time has come…I have airports to raid and a beautiful ball gown to pick up. I have a cake to pay for and a final count to alter! I am so ecstatic that today has arrived. I’ve read all the good-byes for the past year and I have wrestled with what to say. I don’t want to sound cheesy or be a cookie cutter either. So here goes…
Though they won’t see it, I wish to thank my parents and my FH’s parents for raising us and making us the people we are today. Without you, we’d be nowhere…without you, we wouldn’t be. Thanks mom and dad. Thanks FMIL and FFIL.
Thanks also to my FH (who also won’t see this). I love you more than words can say…you have made my life complete. I admire you for your strength and I adore you for your charm. I can't wait for our future and to begin our family with you. You truly have made my life better just by being a part of it. I cannot wait to be your wife and solidify what we’ve known all along, that you’re my lobster.
Of course, no LIW bride can post her good-bye/thank you without thanking one fine couple….RON & LIZ. Thanks for creating a place for us to plan and share, cry and whine, meet and greet and above all else, get married and share our happy time with others. From the helpful links, descriptive articles, great vendors and the occasional “hey, do you know who said this….look what my writer found….” FMs you’ve sent, it’s made my planning easier, funnier and all around GREAT. Thanks. Keep it up.
The Bridentologists….you know, I started that in fun…it’s a great group of girls who would do anything to keep you smiling. We never imagined how much fun we’d all have…or how close we’d all become. It means so much to have such a great group of friends scattered around the Island to help me with fittings, favors and just having a good time on a Friday night.
More specifically I must pay special respect to:
Kittythestray (aka…Kara)….you have brightened my life with your sweet charm and thoughtfulness. You are the best favor-helper ever. Taking time out of your life and day to help me was just amazing…even if you had an ulterior motive…sneaky. Thanks…and know that at the drop of a hat, I’d gladly do the same for you. And all the compliments…they make me feel more beautiful each time!
SR081906 (aka…Sophie)….without you, I might have an ugly bustle. Thank you. You and I became close long ago and have shared many laughs…I am so glad that I’ll be moving closer and we can bombard Pancho’s more often!!! Never ever stop making me laugh…life would be dull without it.
BKtoLI (aka..Janna)…You have always found a way to say something to brighten my day and make me calm down. You also managed to give me the most perfect toasting flutes….for that, I thank you!
Bellaro782 (aka…rosalia)…you are a hilarious girl…with an even funnier FMIL and mom!!! I’d go to 100 bridal shows with you if you promise to keep me laughing the whole time. Remember that time I got lost and you had to tell me how to get to your house every single block of the way? I thought for sure you’d just leave without me…but you didn’t.
Lipglossjunky73 (aka…Liza)…do I dare? You have made me laugh, made me think and made me want to cry all at once[in a good way]. You have been an example of what it’s all about….rain or shine, hell or highwater…in the end it’s about love and family. You’ve been a great influence for me. Oh yeah…and thanks for leading the girls in “White Wedding” at karaoke!!!!

To all Bridentologists I haven’t mentioned…you’ve all been truly helpful and fun. We hope to do another GTG soon…so we can all meet again…and meet some new girls. All of your weddings will be beautiful and special days…no matter what your FMIL thinks or does because in the end, it’s all about Y-O-U and probably a little about your fiancé. Sorry….you know me, gotta throw the jokes in somewhere!

GREENFREAK…from stalking one another at work to the great advice we’ve shared….THANKS. You have been rather inspirational to me as well. I’ll have to buy you an organic salad one day.
To every other LIW bride…THANK YOU. THANK YOU for all your help, hugs and support. For those already married, your weddings were all beautiful and I’m sure that you’ll continue to offer up great advice to future brides. Those about to say “I do,” your weddings will be just as spectacular and wonderful. I wish each and every one of you the very best. The ideas and DIY projects I’ve gotten here have been amazing.
I’m off now to get married. I will miss chatting with you all while I’m in the Bahamas…but I think the Caribbean and the swim up bars will distract me….oh and this lovely man I’ve been engaged to, he’ll help as well. (Hee….he’s going to be my husband so very soon!!!)
