I did think that I may buy the book What to Exect When You are Expecting, and tell him Im reading a new book and show him, but I know that is lame

Diane not lame at all, a friend of mine was telling me that is how someone she knew did it, she gave him the book and an outfit as a gift. If my hubby was a reader, I probably would. Maybe they have it on tape or cd Then again he has had experience raising one already so he might not need the book

I was just in the card store and I saw the cutest thing it is a wooden thing that can be hung on a wall or put on desk etc and it said, 'just when you thought your work was done, then you become a grandmother, now the real fun begins ' I had to get it for my mother. She is always saying she cannot see herself as a grandmother. I cannot wait for her to be a g-ma either

At my bridal shower a friend gave me three bottles of wine labeled 'First House Wine' 'First Anniversary Wine' and 'First Baby Wine.' The baby wine is nonalcoholic, so I think I will break that open to let Keith know. He'll get it right away. Plus, it will be nice to get rid of it and not have to hear him ask me repeatedly what we are ever going to do with that bottle of nonalcoholic wine.

I like that a lot Becky, I think in celebration, I might have to get me one of those

Diane, I know my mom is excited, I can see her shopping her heart away for her grand baby and showing off the peekshures. I hear it in her voice when she tells me about other people on her job who has grand kids. She must feel so left out, no pix to show etc. She will tho' soon

You girls are too good. I couldn't help but clue him in that there 'might' be a chance something was up. So you know he was right there in the bathroom with me when I took the HPT. I was more in shock than he was, like 'No way, it can't be'. Even when we went to the doctors, I was still in denial.

I wish I could have found some clever way of hiding it from him, I guess I'm too 'out there' for that

Shamee..I have to agree. When AF is due, hubby would bug me take a HPT, take aHPT, or Are you Pregnant??

I always pictured myself decorating teh house with pink and blue balloons and hed be surprised when he came home, but I am so terrified that Ill struggle with miscarriages that Im afraid to get too excited if I become pregnant. It will be hard secret to keep because I love a glass of wine and he'll notice when I cut out alcohol

Awweee you ladies are so cute. I'm not officially TTC yet, but oh how I've thought about this!

My DH is a guitarist...and a major guitar collector. My plan is to tell him with a Baby Taylor. They are teeny versions of Taylor acoustic guitars, that he is dying to start collecting.

What I did was I told him I was cooking a really nice dinner and put candles and had those metal covers that cover your plate and on his plate instead of dinner he got...rattles and pacifers, etc..... Lifted up the metal cover and I thought he was going to faint!!!

I had gotten my husband a christmas ornament that said 'Parents to Be' (it was a week before christmas). I was going to hang it on the tree and show him when he got home from work. But as usual, my blabbermouth self couldn't hold it in for a whole 5 hrs and I ended up calling him at work and telling him

LOVE that- my hubby plays guitar too!! I might have to take your idea!!

As for parents, I'd always thought of saying, we wanted to redorate our bedroom, come over for dinner and let us show you some of the furniture we're looking at.... and have catelogs of baby furniture.

Hubby- don't know. If I had my way, we'd be ttc now, but he says he's not ready yet. Wants to wait a bit and enjoy being husband and wife.
