Seriously, we've been together over 10 years, 6 of which were long distance (3000 miles, we were both in grad school). I'm a clinical lab director in a hospital, he works for a small biotech firm. We got engaged on the Pacific coast right after Thanksgiving, 2004. He totally surprised me. We live in Seattle, and just went back to NJ and NY to pick up our wedding bands and meet with our officiant. My FMIL threw me a surprise shower......it all feels SO real now!

My name is Jamie and my FH is Jason. We'll be together for three years next week. We were engaged on Mother's Day of this year and we're getting married on the 4th of July, 2006. I'm a biology teacher and he's an inventory analyst. (My job is way more fun than his.) We're closing on our new home on Friday, and we are VERY excited!

We were dating a year when we got engaged- and he asked me to marry him on the day we lost my Mom- b/c he wanted to make sure that she knew we were engaged- this made me realize that he is the one!
I moved from the city to live with him in Long Beach- he just opened is own Mortgage company- and I do product development for a housewares company

HI. My name is Christine. I live in Astoria, Queens for the past 4 1/2 years. I teach 1st grade in Astoria. I am planning to move back to LI (& live with parents) in a few months to save $$$$$$. FH is Peter and teaches HS English on LI. We met through Newsday 3 1/2 years ago. We never exchanged pictures, spoke on the phone a lot, and decided to meet at Borders. We have been together ever since. He proposed on August 19 of this year. We plan in getting married Oct. 06, where we do not know!

I am Callan, FH is Joe, dating 3 yrs and 3 months when we got engaged! NO idea but he popped the question in Cabo San Lucas, totally amazing!!! He set up a whole plan, took the dad out to dinner the whole works! We are getting married 10/28/06!!

I'm Marci, he's Ed. We met in law school. Our 2-year anniversary is coming... it's 9/26. We've been engaged since January and are getting married next Memorial Day Weekend. We just moved to Manhattan a mere days ago and are still living in a largely unfurnished apartment... we really need to get going on that!
Anyway, I've been on the site since late January or early February and I can't emphasize what a great resource you girls are and how much I love this site!

We met on Jdate.com in March of 2004 to come to find that we majorly hooked up at a fraternity party up at SU back in our freshman year (1988) only to have me ignore him and blow him off the next day. We met 15 and a half years later to satisfy a curiosity and have been together ever since.
