Wedding Date? We're tying the knot on 10.28.11 @Russo's on the Bay.


Did you book your dream place or did you settle elsewhere for price? I had major trouble knowing what my 'dream' wedding would be- I think the Breakers in Palm Beach Florida would have been my 'DREAM' wedding but it's too far away and FAR too expensive! Russo's has great service and great food- and my whole family get's married there so it will work out perfectly.


Are you way over budget?: We don't exactly have a 'budget' so to speak but things are costing FAR more than I ever imagined.


When you were a little girl at what age did you imagine getting married and what age are you getting married at? Oh gosh- When I was little I really thought I'd be married with babies by 25. Now I'm 31.


What's your favorite wedding movie:? Father of the Bride- hands down although I also like Sweet Home Alabama and Bride Wars.


What's the biggest wedding problem that's come up so far? Hmm. We already had a whole wedding planned for last year and had to postpone which was devastating. Other than that- I have my brothers ex in the wedding party as well as his new girl. This caused a huge stir at first- but I think everyone is being adult about it at this point!!


Have you been fighting with anyone more, family, friends, FH? Acutally we're okay!!


What's the one moment you imagine about your wedding over and over in your head- 'day dream' so to speak? I always picture Marc and I being in the bridal suite together eating and just looking at each other letting it all sink in. I also frequently imaging my walk down the eisle!!

Are you on a crazy diet/ work out plan? I have started working out- although I'll admit it's more for the honeymoon than the wedding itself.


Are you shopping like crazy? I am buying all sorts of un nec. items- like parasols just for me and my girls to take ONE picture with. lol


What's your biggest fear about the wedding? Hmm. I just fear the big payment and the rsvps- I hope everyone will come!!


Do you plan on making babies right after the wedding or waiting? Yes. Actually it's REALLY hard for us to wait for the wedding we want to get started!

Are you the oldest/ first in your immediate family to have a big wedding? My older brother hasn't had a wedding yet and I have no sisters so - this is the first MAJOR wedding in my immediate family!!

What's the vendor modality that matters MOST to you- Music, Photo, Flowers, Dress, Etc??? We've just started but I think Photo and Music are two biggies for me.

What was the most shocking cost for something you've encounterd thus far? The venue itself is insane and I constantly find myself thinking about what else we could be doing with all this money.

What are/is you wedding colors/ theme? Teal and peacock colors - no 'theme' so to speak but we are having skeleton keys, peacock feathers, crystals and tons of goodness thrown into our wedding.

When you were a little girl at what age did you imagine getting married and what age are you getting married at? When I was younger, I thought I'd be married with kids by 25. By the time I get married, I'll be 28, turning 29 about a month later.


What's your favorite wedding movie:? My Best Friend's Wedding / Father of the Bride


What's the biggest wedding problem that's come up so far? My bridesmaid from HELL who dropped out 2x and now we're no longer friends.


Have you been fighting with anyone more, family, friends, FH? No, not really but my mom and I have been butting heads a lot because she's selfish and wants the day to be about her but that's nothing new.


What's the one moment you imagine about your wedding over and over in your head- 'day dream' so to speak? Me seeing FH for the first time as I'm walking down the aisle.

Are you on a crazy diet/ work out plan? No, but I want to start eating healthier and start going to the gym to tone up.


Are you shopping like crazy? I'm actually behaving myself for once. Can't wait to splurge on my wedding shoes though!!


What's your biggest fear about the wedding? That no one will dance and enjoy themselves.

What's the vendor modality that matters MOST to you- Music, Photo, Flowers, Dress, Etc??? Photography is definitely my most important, followed by Music, Dress and Flowers

What was the most shocking cost for something you've encounterd thus far? $3,050 for limos was a bit extreme. Currently still shopping for better price quotes. Oh and the price of the venue was a jaw dropper too but I guess that's a given lol

How many days do you have to go? 442 days, 2hrs, 29mins but hey, who's counting?


What are/is you wedding colors/ theme? Not sure yet... no theme though.


How grateful are you to have found LI weddings? Very - LIW is the best!


Do you plan to use LI weddings girls to fill seats if you don't meet your min. amount of guests? Not sure yet....depends on how close I become with the girls. We're inviting over 300ppl so we should hopefully have no problem filling our 220 minimum.

- I get stressed out, but haven't noticed fighting with anyone more

- The ceremony and seeing my FH for the first time

-I lost a lot of weight 6 years ago and have maintained it since by eating better and working out. So I wouldn't say I am doing anything out of the ordinary


Are you shopping like crazy?

-Right now, my mother and I have been shopping for our e-party (we're having a backyard cocktail party), but as far as shopping for the wedding, not yet.


What's your biggest fear about the wedding?

-That it will rain. We are having an outdoor ceremony at my families vineyard

- not a chance. Give me 3 years :p

Did you book your dream place or did you settle elsewhere for price?: Was it our first choice? No. We initially were thinking of doing a destination wedding but since that wouldn't have allowed certain people to make it we decided against it. But, once we both saw the Riviera we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding and we have asbolutely no regrets or complaints!


Are you way over budget?: When all was said and done we were actually right at what we were looking to spend on our wedding. We saved and planned for 2+ years and even though it seems like a long engagement, it was worth it in the end to have that extra time to save and research for the best prices.


When you were a little girl at what age did you imagine getting married and what age are you getting married at? I guess the first time I ever thought about what my wedding would be like was in highschool (Soph. year - 15 yrs. old). In our religion class, we had an assignment to plan our wedding! We had to make a binder and everything and keep to a certain budget and then present it to the class. It was such a fun project. It was 13 years later that I walked down the aisle to marry my best friend.


What's your favorite wedding movie:? Hmmmm I think I am gonna go with 27 Dresses.


What's the biggest wedding problem that's come up so far? We really didn't face many problems during the wedding planning except for our first florist who turned out to be completely flaky. Worked out for the best though because our florist for the wedding did an amazing job and we couldn't have been happier with the both the work and the price.


Have you been fighting with anyone more, family, friends, FH? No fights at all actually with anyone. There were times where my mom and me would butt heads a little but nothing ever escalated to a fight.


What's the one moment you imagine about your wedding over and over in your head- 'day dream' so to speak? One moment during the wedding that replays in my mind is when I was walking down the aisle. I was so nervous and had kinda of a freak out right before I walked in (don't have any idea why looking back on it now LOL). I think I was just nervous about the wactual walking down the aisle and tripping or something. As soon as the doors opened though I was totally fine. I saw the faces of the people I loved all around me and then when I got to the front all I saw was DH with his iPhone out waiting to take a picture of me and it made me laugh =)


Are you on a crazy diet/ work out plan? I wasn't on a crazy diet but I did start to really watch what I eat and get into a workout routine about a year and a half before the wedding. Weight Watchers and exercising 4x a week helped me knock off 15 pounds before the wedding. I felt great! I still do. I've recently gone back on WW after giving myself a little break after the wedding and have lost 2 more lbs so far.


Are you shopping like crazy? If you mean for the wedding, we didn't go too crazy with the wedding extras.


What's your biggest fear about the wedding? My biggest fear was out guests not having a good time at the wedding. I'm glad that was the furtherest from the truth because everyone was complimenting us during the evening and afterward about how much fun they had at our wedding and that it was one of the best we've been too. Even out land lady thought our wedding was very 'classy' =)


Do you plan on making babies right after the wedding or waiting? DH would if he could LOL. But we both agreed to wait a little while until we are closer to buying a house.


Are you the oldest/ first in your immediate family to have a big wedding? Nope. My brother is 5 years older than me and he was married 6 years ago. DH's brother was married a year ago.


What's the vendor modality that matters MOST to you- Music, Photo, Flowers, Dress, Etc??? Most important to us was food and music. If our guests didn't like the food or weren't up on that dance floor enjoying themselves, than we failed. Thankfully, the food was amazing and our DJ did such an amazing job keep our guests on that dance floor.


What was the most shocking cost for something you've encounterd thus far? I knew roundabout the cost of flowers so I was expecting it but looking back it's amazing how much you spend on something that is going to die the next day (or in some cases the SAME day!). Don't get me wrong, I love the bouquets and CPs we had for the wedding and would buy them again, but it still stinks how much they have to cost for one day.


How many days do you have to go? We have been married for 46 days =)


What are/is you wedding colors/ theme? Sunflowers were a big part of everything (invitations, bouquets, CPs, DIY) but we went for a sort of 'springtime' theme - lots of yellows and greens.


How grateful are you to have found LI weddings? Extremely! This site has def. been the most helpful in finding out about vendors and just getting different ideas for the wedding.
