co-worker who I correspond with on a regular basis,

I understand that most of the time, my name is spelled as 'Colleen' with 2 L's. However, the fact that my email address is [email protected] and that I sign all of my emails with my name with one L, makes me kind of think that its just rude, lazy and slightly inconsiderate that after 2 years of working here, you STILL spell my name wrong every single time you email me (even though I have corrected you on more than once occassion)

Going forward I will think of every possible spelling for the name Michelle, and write it differently in every email.

Ok, so how come EVERYONE I associate with through work insists on calling me Diane. It's not a nickname for my name..it's a DIFFERENT NAME!!

I also get Deeana and Deeane or Dinah on the rare occassion.

A lot of people, especially over the phone, call me Stephanie instead of Tiffany.
I also HATE it when someone I don't know calls me Tiff. I don't know you, why are you calling me by a nickname. You have to be my friend or family to refer to me as Tiff or T.

That's weird right? When I went to the dr I told them my name was Jennifer and they asked me how do I spell it?? How do you think you spell Jennifer let alone Jenn. I get that allot too, 'How do you spell Jenn?' I feel like answering them 'How do you think?'..LOL

Sorry I just saw this today - no I don't!
Funny though b/c its no a common name!

haha i get my name spelt wrong, said wrong and people often think i am spelling my own name wrong when they hear me spell it for them or they see me spell it.... one time i told someone 'thanks but i think i know how to spell my own name'

and it pisses me off that when people hear my name 'Catie' they automatically spell it KATIE

PLEASE ASK with a name like this since there are many different spellings!!!

UM HELLO where the HELL do you get Cathy from Catie. I HATE THAT! That is my biggest pet peeve it's like people don't actually take the time to listen to you say your name so they can call you correctly. I say Catie on the phone at work and I always get messages from those people I called saying Hi Cathy!

And my real name is Catherine and when I say but you can call me Catie or whatever...they see it spelt with a C in my real name but they spell my nickname with a Katie
