MY EXPERIENCE WITH WEDDING WORLD OF COMMACK.
I signed a package with them that included my DJ, Photographer, Videographer, Invites, and Flowers the package was a little over 5K. I paid almost 1K for the DJ. (CLASS ACT DJ'S) Everything was fine, untill it came to my wedding day. The DJ didnt have our wedding song, he didnt have the boquet toss song, didnt have the garter song. Also my family is West Indian and he didnt have any any music for them, my mother had to leave the reception and get music so he could play. Then refused to play the music. A waiter in my room, ran upstairs and got the House DJ for that reception hall, and he ended up finishing my wedding. 2 days after the wedding my mother and Father in Law went to wedding world to inform them of what the DJ did, they talked to my mother for 1 hour and apologized, said that they watched the video and the saw how upset i was, the photographer and videographer noted how upset i was along with my husband and my whole bridal party.
When we returned fro our honeymoon we went there and had a meeting with the co-owner and the DJ, she also told us to our faces, that she understood exactly what happened, and that the DJ was TOTALLY WRONG!!!!, and that she would give us a refund. she never said how much, but since she seemed to have some kind of sympathy i truested her (thats my weakness) So now it' stime for me to pick up my proofs, i cal them up and the is only giving us a CREDIT for $175.00 thats it. i dont even think it's 1% of what i paid. So anyway after i camly told her that that amount is a insult, she went off and started yelling at me.
My husband and I went to get our proofs that following weekend. Over the phone the told us one price and when we got thre it was higher. All i wanted was an explnation on why it was so high. NOW this man comes out speaking over my husband and trying to make us out like fools, i just couldnt take it anymore and i went off. I tried really hard to be professional, and be a business woman, but after that i coudnt do it anymore. They called the cops on us and said that we were unruly customers..Another thing the videographer never came to my home to tape from there, and one of there limo drivers said a racist remark to one of my family members.
I cried on the most happiest day of my life. and it's not right.....

OMG, that is a HORRIBLE story !!!!
I'm so sorry that happenned to you.
You should report them IMMEDIATELY to the Better Business Bureau.
I would even call '7 on your side' or Fox 5 news about this, and see if they can help you out.

It's a good case to take them to court especially you have proof that they did not fulfill what was promised and you made an attempt to rectify the situation. You definitely deserve your money back. So sorry they put you through this. Good luck!

I never heard of wedding world - is that the same as the Commack Wedding Center?

I'm so sorry that you had such a terrible experience. Definitely try to call FOX problem solvers! I've seen them get results!!

I would definetly call PROBLEM SOLVERS from FOX 5 right away. They should not only give you your money back for the DJ but also a discount on the rest of your package for the inconvenience. It is not right!!

I am so sorry to hear about this. I think you definitely need to take them to court. You are intitled to more than a lousy $175.

Im so sorry to hear about what happened to you on your wedding day. That is truely horrible. I think you definitley have some options to persue as far as reporting them, or even hiring a lawyer to get your $$$ back!

That is really awful. Don't let them get away with that kind of behavior. Their behavior is beyond unprofessional.

This is awful, truly horrible. You should call the BBB and report them. Then call Fox 5 and speak with their consumer reporter. Did you even get your proofs back?

I am always very weary of anyone who tells me I can get photos, video, flowers, limos, and music for $5K. The quality cannot be even close to good, and I am sure those 'professionals' are not very worried about customer-service.
If something seems too good to be true it usually is.

I booked everything with them, but other than that, the reception hall The Huntingont Town House, was wondeful..they mad me feel like a million dollars, i loved every mintue of it there....i would def. recomend the town house...

That is DISGUSTING behavior on their part - DO NOT let them get away with it. I concur with the other suggestions - call the BBB and all those news programs. You'll get results then, I'm sure.

Thanks for the advice - I'll be sure to steer clear from them - and warn EVERYONE I KNOW to do the same.

Kesh22, so sorry to hear that on your most special day, things did not pan out as planned. I would recommend you definitely call the local TV stations that do those on your side shows, they will definitely love to hear this. I hope your pix and your video gives you great memories. I know it must be hard when you think of your day, that this sorry thought comes to mind. All the best for the future.

I am so sorry to here about the horrible way you were treated on what should have been the happiest day of your life! Those people are unprofessional, crooked, deceitful and just plain rude! Definitely call the BBB and some of the other place the other girls suggested. You deserve full restitution for your troubles!

I am so sorry to hear this. The only tears you should shed on your wedding day are tears of joy.

Honey, sit down for a second, collect your thoughts, take a deep breathe, and remember that at the end of the day, you are married to the man of your dreams and will have a beautiful life together.

Do you think it's worth it to take them to small claims court? If so, get all of your paperwork together now, and document everything that happened on your wedding day. As time passes, it will just get harder to do.

Word of mouth is a very powerful tool in the wedding business! Good for you for letting us know what happened in the hopes of saving someone else from this sort of heartache.
