My only concern with Sept 10, is traveling will be difficult, with the anniversary of Sept 11.

But I'm down if that's the agreed upon date

That is what everyone who love on the East Coast wants us to do! I love living in California(I've been here 5 years) but my FH wants us to be close to my parents(they are awesome) once we have kids. So probably in a couple of years.
