My sister just got this set from Huffman Koos. It's a Broyhill. It's beautiful looking and the quality is great, but every single piece was broken or scratched when it arrived. She's having huge issues with Huffman.

I am so sorry your sister is going through this .. I can totally sympathize .. because I went through a nitemare with Huffman Koos .. we also had issues with the dining room set they delivered .. and let me say .. it took nearly 1 year and about 5 deliveries, 2 tech visits, countless phone calls, many of which went unreturned .. before we got the set we have now .. which in my opinion still has issues.

Anyway, Huffman Koos is the worst company I have ever dealt with, and I will absolutely never ever shop there again.

I wish your sister better luck than I had!!

This is our set:

Re: Lets see your dining room sets and dining rooms!

i love that set niecey! did you order from thomasville or one of the NC distributors?

Niecey Posted: Dec 09, 2003 06:12 PM

Re: Lets see your dining room sets and dining rooms!

Thanks jenn and spel. Spel- I ordered from High Point Furniture Sales in NC. I had a very good experience with them. If you want any info FM me and I can forward it on to you. The thing is supposedly Thomasville has passed regulation so you can't go to NC for discounts but I am not sure how tight that really is...My MIL had bought from this company before so they treated us well since we were considered a returning customer!

Edited to add - there are lots of nice sets on this thread! Great picking girls!

You all have such beautiful formal sets!! I am so jealous!! We don't have a formal dining room, so we went casual. We use it every day since we don't ahve an eat in kitchen!!

Just after delivery:

And my attempt at getting things set up in the China Cabinet:

Trish, I LOVE how you arranged your china cabinet. Stupid question for you... how did you get your dishes to stand up like that??

Re: Lets see your dining room sets and dining rooms!

Jenn, the back of my china cabinet has a groove on each shelf, so the plate rests in the grove and against the back part. I am pretty sure most china cabinets come this way.... I should post more up to date pics - it's looking more 'finished' these days
