lets talk about hair...
hi girls!for your hair: contracts? deposits? how much and who are you using?
basically I'm a little annoyed for a few reasons:
went for my hair trial - was emailed a contract (that I had to fill out) that I was to sign -- and was told that 50% of EVERYONES hair needed to be paid for at this time. I am OK with signing a contract and I am OK with leaving at least half of what MY service will be.
I think it's a little ridiculous that 50% of EVERYONE'S hair is needed to hold the date. I have never heard of this.
I have 11 bridesmaids and have reached out to them over a week ago to let me know ASAP about hair/makeup at my house. Only one girl answered me.
i emailed them back and said I would be willing to send them half of what my service is as a deposit to hold the date and am waiting for a response. I understand things book up fast, but to ask for a complete list of WHO and WHAT service (up-do, curls, half up) 6 months in advance PLUS 50% from everyone is not something I have heard of. No one in my bridal party will go for that either.
TIA!

Who gave you that contract? I just don't want a trial with them if that's what they're going to do

that is a little ridiculous IMO.. I have to bring my contract with me after my hair trial in a few months, and all they need is a credit card to hold the reservation for all of us but nothing will be charged. I just had to fill out everyone's info and on the day of they can all pay with cash or credit on their own.

I had to do this too...I wonder if we're using the same person. :) FM me who you're using? My wedding is early (1PM) and not all of my BM's live close to me, so it's only going to be myself, my mother, my MOH and one BM getting our hair done at my house. I left half the total amount for all of us.
In all fairness, I don't think it's completely unreasonable. These women are in high demand and don't have any other guarantee you won't cancel. If you cancel, they're screwed. Your bridesmaids wouldn't be willing to give half the amount for their hair? I don't think it's too crazy to ask if they're already aware they'll be paying for their own hair that morning.

I booked with no contract and no deposit. It's up in the air who's having hair and makeup done. Right now it's me, my MOH, my FMIL and BM with hair, and me, MOH, FMIL with makeup. This is subject to change.

I booked with Roseanna Amador of cosmony.com and she is amazing. Signed a contract... 50% of my pricing for deposit, nothing down for anyone else. Spent 3 hours on me for my trial... have complete faith in her abilities! HTH!

I booked with Randi Ross Hair Designs. Just had to give $50 deposit for my contract. When it gets closer to my date I have to let her know how many girls are definitely getting their hair done with her.

I signed a contract but did not have to leave a deposit. All the places I have been to none of them told me 50% deposit that is a bit high.
