lets talk about hair... other then on your head...
I have been bleaching my upper lip since I have dark hair... that usually hides it and no one would notice it, but for the wedding day im considering waxing it...
but, I have a few questions
-How bad will it hurt? Im a wimp
-when it grows back will it look worse, like obvious I waxed?
-If i do it twice before the wedding will I need to do it forever or can I go back to bleaching?
Thanks ladies, im lost!!

I am light haired but I just hate hair. I have tried waxing my lip and everytime I have I break out. Everyone is different and when it grows back its all stubbly so you have have to keep going back like with your eyebrows

Wax it! It's like a little pinch and it's over in a second.

I would probably do a test run ASAP since your wedding is coming close...

the finishing touch works...you just gotta keep up with it

I wouldn't do anything about it I think the wedding is too soon you don't know how your skin will react. JMO

i agree. used to use it all the time until i dropped it on the floor & it broke. i haven't had a chance to purchase a new one, so i have been waxing every 2 weeks.

waxing doesnt hurt as much as threading but threading is sooo much better for your skin and shaping your eyebrows
ETA: you wont have to wax forever, i used to alternate betwen waxing and bleaching bc sometimes i'd break out from the waxing

BOO WAXING!!!!!!!!
thread it!!! it hurts, I'll be honest, I've been doing it for years and the lip ALWAYS gets me... but I know my FSIL doesn't feel it at all... I think its a lot safer then waxing. But I'd do it a few times before the actual wedding... and get it done a few days before your wedding.. just to make sure your skin doesn't react harshly.

I am also A wimp the only waxing I do is my upper lip and eye its not that bad and takes less the 5 min. Once you get used it! I still will never wax anything else my best friend told me I could never handel it because I am a wimp! I would go soon as you can and see how u like it and ,make sure skin does not break out ( it has never appen to me) i think you would perfer it then bleaching!

i think your wedding is too close for your first time waxing. in the future, waxing is no big deal.

2011 crashing - my friend who got married this past weekend had a waxing issue with her makeup.
Since it takes layers of your skin off the texture will be different and your makeup will look different then the rest of your face. My friend did her side burns - the makeup artist fixed it, but that was the sides of her face - your upper lip is front and center.

that happens to me too... I thought I was the only one I'll put coverup/foundation on my face and it'll literally part where I got waxed...

I used to get my lip waxed, then I got it threaded. I was always afraid they were going to pull my skin off my lip. Now I get laser and couldn't be happier!

I tried waxing it once and I looked like I got the herp.
Don't do it so close to the wedding!

it does hurt... but some places will ice the area before they do it. Not all. Anyway... it hurts for a second and its over. You can do this.
You can have a reaction so make sure where ever you go for the waxing, they use a good wax for sensitive sking (even if you don't have sensitive skin). You can be red-ish in that area for a few hours or a full day. You can go back to bleaching afterwards, not a problem. It will grow back subtly... not worse.
