letterpress question

My invite is a storybook type invite. It has a natural paper cover - almost a fabric. The inside page are ivory and the envelopes match. I am considering letterpress in gold or a grey/blue kind of color on the pages. Do I do the return address on the outer envelopes in that color? And do I do the calligraphy addresses (I am doing that on my computer) in that color as well? Or should that be in black?

Re: letterpress question

Since you are using your PC to address the envelopes, I would leave it black.

Re: letterpress question

leave it all black for consistency plus Ive heard that color ink doesn't read as well by the post office machines as black.

Do you have a photo of your invites? I love letterpress.

Re: letterpress question

The writing on my envelopes was burgundy, but I did the addresses and return address in black. I am using a burgundy heart shaped stamp as a seal over the back flap. (I wanted to do sealing wax on it, which looks so elegant - but couldn't find the color and got frustrated so just went with the ink)
