Levels of stupidity LOL

My extended family never ceases to amaze me. I got a phonecall from my grandfather's wife last night telling me that my dad's side is complaining that they don't know who to make the check out to b/c FH name is not on the invitation.

I LMAO because if they bothered to look at the hotel reservation card our names are on it. And what is even more hilarious is that that side of the family is all out of state and would need to make a reservation at the hotel!!!!!

I'm so glad that I made sure that my inserts make sense LOL!!!!

that's ok, we sent out our e-party invites Jennifer & Dennis (& our return address).

we did not put a last name, because everyone we invited knows us.

WEll, we got a call sunday from this guy steve wishing us congrats and to call him back. WE DON'T KNOW A STEVE. Turns out he got our invitation, with no envelop???? So we have no idea who did not get an invitation. He does not even live in the area of any of our guests. I guess we will find out tomorrow when we have to call those who did not RSVP.

Then my father never bothered to call his '1 couple' he's inviting to keep an eye out for the invitation (they are the only ones who don't know us). So they just threw it out. How do you get an invite addressed to you and just throw it out? At least call and see who they are.

That's certainly strange, but maybe they were thrown by the fact that your FH's name wasn't on the invite. I, too, am curious how you worded a wedding invitation without the groom's name.
