I was always against the no basement idea...I dont know why, maybe because I had one growing up and loved it...but these Levittown houses are so cute, (more) affordable, good location and ready to be built up on that I may rethink my no basement idea. Beautiful houses!

Re: Levittown Owners
I love the Levitt capes. I originally started liking only the Levitt ranches, but I think the Capes are so cute. There are so many possibilities with these homes.....Dormer up, Expand out back......etc....Some of them you cannot even recognize after they are finished.

This is my mom's friend's house. I thought I would post it to show you how much you can really do with Levittown capes
Thats a big Levvit house. Was that a cape or a Ranch? Looks more like a ranch. Do you have a fireplace? If you do, it is a ranch most likely. Scott

Re: Levittown Owners
Honestly, I had always thought a ranch meant it was one story, but mine was originally two. It's the style where the stairs are in the back instead of right as you walk in the front door. And there is no side door, just a back one. And yes, a fireplace between the kitchen and living room. Sorry, I don't have any inside pics to show you.

Its a levitt ranch then. Probably built in 1950 or 1951. Scott

Since I grew up in a ranch, I'll post my grandma's house since it's a cape. You can't tell but the back is dormered and extended on the side. It's huge!
