Levkoff #966 question

If your BM's had or will have the Bill Levkoff dress #966, did you bustle the skirt? If so,what did you do with the sash? We need sugestions.

Thanks!

we are bustling the skirt (1 button bustle) and the sash will be cut to be floor length.

I wore it as a BM. we bustled the train and did the sash to the floor.

I definitely recommend bustling the skirt and sash especially if they will have it dragging the floor. I had each of my girls alter their dress at a seperate place since a couple of them were out of town and three of them had the dress and sash cut to just reach the floor (not drag) but the other two had a bit of a drag so they needed to bustle. I wanted to show you a pic, but I only have pics of the back of their dress from the ceremony when it was not bustled.

I had the skirt and sash cut for all of the girls except my MOH who had everything bustled. Here are two pics-one of the BM and one with my MOH in the background (although she's dancing and the bustle doesn't look the greatest)

my girls wore the same dress and we had them cut the dress and sash to floor length. it was very pretty and simple.

Yes, each girl had the shirt bustled with one point. The sash was cut so that it was the lenght of the dress when it was bustled. It worked much better than tying them in a bow.

We are bustling the skirt and having pins put in the sash so that when they bustle the dress they can pin up the ends too

I'm not sure about this...but does the dress come with a button in the back to bustle it? I coulda sworn I saw that when my sisters were trying it on, but I'm not sure.

We're gonna cut the sashes to floor length as well, that's what Phyllis suggested anyway. Sounds good to me!

No, the dress does not come with any buttons on the dress so that you can bustle it. You have to have the seamstress do it.

I got that dress for my girls and we are cutting the dress to have it one length - I felt that I should be the only one with a bustle that day!!
Plus I thought it would be more of an annoyance to the girls.

I am having the sash cut to floor length so the girls don't trip!!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions and the pics too! I know my daughter and her BM's like the look of the train for walking down the aisle, but they will have to make a decision for their comfort after the church.

This is what my girls did too. It looked really nice with a one point bustle
