...this morning I was online getting phone numbers of reception sites to visit when my fiancee and I come down next weekend (we live in Rochester now). I stumbled on LIweddings.com and OH MY GOD, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Planning a wedding on LI from upstate is challenging, but the posts and the site are great! I am SO thankful! I have been living on Long Island most of my life, if anyone has any questions on vendors,(Heard of them,halls I looked at, etc.) Maybe I can help. I live In Nassau County, and booked my hall in Nassau County, but looked all over the island for the caterers. I can try to help.

Let us know what you need help with. Some advice- one of my closest friends planned her LI wedding from CA. She researched online all of the vendors first, called them and got demo tapes/pricing etc..before meeting with them. If a vendor will not disclosure pricing for you-beware. And if they are out of your price range- don't meet with them. You have a limited number of hours here so use them to met vendors that you can book. Which halls are you going to?

If you need a great make-up and hair stylist call Bessie at 718-707-1089. She travels and her prices are reasonable. I am using her for my wedding. Best of Luck!
