Hey... Has anyone used LI sound?? Who would you recommend and what packages did you choose? Is the light show package worth it? (we already have the uplighting) One person dj/mc or two person dj & mc?

FH and I are actually going to their showcase tonight in Bohemia. We met with Mike(I believe that was him name)last week and we are really thinking of booking with them.

We booked with them. Mike was our MC and Steve was our DJ.. LOVED, LOVED them. They are awesome and they keep the party going...

We used Mike and Steven too! They are amazing, professional, fun, all that good stuff! For weedy gs i think it really is best to go with a 2 man package. We actually went all out with lights, plasmas, percussionist, pianist, etc... The DJ really is who is going to keep the party going, keep the crowd dancing, and keep the flow going. I think it's worth e $$$.

It's an in-house showcase tonight, they will be performing and it's starts at 6:30.

They also had a steel drum performer, a singer and a percussion player. They had the photo booth open to anyone who wanted to try it. My mom, FH and I had a lot of fun when we went.

Uplighting is like lights on the side of the room that change color during the night.
For those of you who used them.. did you get anything else besides the dj & mc?

We are booked with Scott as our MC as well and we have nothing but great things to say about him. He was so professional and willing to do for us exactly what we wanted and not empty our pockets. We don't know who our DJ is yet since at the final meeting, based on the style we are looking for they will find the perfect DJ for us. We also got the steel drummer through them and this was a MUST have for me and FH.

FH and I were there last night, we had a good time. We are going to be booking with Mike and I'm not sure as of right now who our dj is going to be but they have a great percussionist.
I think they are having a showcase @ The Inn @ NHP, check their website and it tells you the dates and times for their next showcase.

I will!!!! One of the things I liked about our venue is that they are very well equipped with what they offer or how they have ready-ied themselves for entertainment.

I first saw them at a showcase at the Riviera with my mother and we both loved them! I told FH they were definitely at the top of the list of DJs we need to meet.
We did go into their office to meet with them when we booked. They take you into one room to go over some basic things and then take you into their studio which is all set up to show you the different things you offer. Also, if you are interested in any of the independant musicians (such as steel drummer, percussionist, etc). they have videos of their peformances to show you. Then you go back in the room, discuss what you would like to include in your package and then talk pricing.
We decided to go with a 2 man team (DJ and MC). We felt it will help the DJ do is main job which is to keep the music flowing, and the MC can keep the crowd going and keep everything on the time schedule.
