LI Vineyards

I want to take my FH to a vineyard on a Sunday for his birthday. Can anyone recommend a good one? Also, do I need to make reservations or do we just show up?

TIA!

Raphael is really beautiful!

Don't know the opening hours, but you can just show up. Most of them operate like that.

Here's the link: Raphael Winery

I went to Pindar for my BP party, its fun there. Check out this site North Fork , it will give you the addresses and info about the wineries. A lot of them are close together so you could go to more than one.

Osprey's Dominion is one of my favorites.

One of my old coworkers used to tell me she loved Duck Walk Vineyards wine.

I had to visit and drop off stuff to several of the vineyards and just by the looks of the place the best one I thought was Wolffer Estates.

You can check out vineyards at LI Wines

I recommend going to the north vineyards...

Ospry Dominion
Pindar
Pelligrini
Laurel Lake
Bedel

Just bring singles and fives...to try there select reserve wines
TRY AN ICE WINE!!!

I'm also thinking of going with a group of friends to tour some of the vineyards or rather drink informally, rent a limo, just go from one to the other, pack a picnic lunch, can you do that or should I call each place first?

Raphael & Pelligrini are my favorites.

Paumanok is really pretty too, you can buy a bottle of wine & they'll give you glasses so you can drink it outside overlooking the vineyard (several places do this).
Martha Clara is good.
Duck Walk is nice too, but it's on the South Fork.

We went to Martha Clara also, it was nice, but there was a dog show or something going on. A lot quieter than Pindar.

I think most places let you bring your own cheese and crackers, but you can buy from them also.

Dh and I love Pugilisi and Peconic. Also try to go to Greenport, they have the cutest shops.
