Has anyone used Liberty travel? If so were you happy? I would love any feedback good or bad. Thanks

Re: Liberty Travel
I used them from our honeymoon and was very unimpressed. I could have got us the same deal from Sandals web-site, I had to call him to get us a cheaper flight, and he deterred us from flying into the closer airport in St. Lucia saying it was further from the resort.
Thanks for nothing jerk!
Sorry...you hit a nerve I guess!

Re: Liberty Travel
I was also not a fan. The woman knew nothing about Greece. Luckily I knew several people who went there on their HM and had done research beforehand. I'm sure I could've done most, if not all, of it myself. I also think they totally overcharged on the interisland flights which was annoying. I wouldn't use them again.

Re: Liberty Travel
I've used them a bunch of times for different things. My sister used them to book her honeymoon, and I used them to book our honeymoon cruise. I haven't had any problems at all. I'm using the one on Jericho Turnpike in Commack/East Northport.

I'd say it would depend what specific person you use. I am using Liberty Travel in Massapequa and couldn't be happier - but I'm using a woman who has been doing travel arraingments for my sister and her in-laws forever. She was so helpful and found the perfect HM spot for us.

Re: Liberty Travel
Thank you all for your help!!! We were dealing with one woman at one location who know nothing about Tahiti. Then I called a different Liberty and this woman was amazing. Got us just what we wanted. Thanks for all replying.

Re: Liberty Travel
My only issue dealing with them was that they did not have a big enough selection for us of hotels that they endorse. It seemed like if it wasn't a huge resort, then they couldn't help us book it. We went to a few different Liberty Travels before realizing that they weren't for us. We ended up using my mom's travel agent. She was awesome and I totally recommend her if anyone is interested. We told her how much we wanted to spend and what we wanted in a resort and she went and found us the nicest place for our money. We had a great time and stayed in an amazing resort.

Re: Liberty Travel
my parents used them for their trip to jamaica...and were happy. when they went back for their trip to cancun, my father decided to go online and have me do some price comparisons....and the prices i found were much cheaper than what liberty offered. plus the hotels they were telling them they should go had some mediocre reviews from other travelers.
if you get a deal from liberty..make sure you comparison shop online to verify they are giving you the best deal.

Re: Liberty Travel
DH and I went to the Liberty Travel in Sayville and were extremely unhappy with the way they treated us and their prices were HIGER than anything else that we found! But the worst was that they made us feel like 'we don't have time for you if you don't book today'.
We booked our fabulous HM through Hayley at beachbumvacation.com. not only is she a sweetheart but she beat the lowest possible price we found, and believe me, we researched this QUITE a bit! FM me for more info if you'd like.

I agree. I am using the one in Levittown on Hempstead Tpke and have had no problems yet. FH wasn't thrilled initially because the girl we first spoke to that quoted us all of our prices was suddenly gone when we went to book and no one knew of any of the quotes she gave us. Nonetheless, another woman stepped up and gave us an even better deal. No problems thus far...

Re: Liberty Travel
Our TA from Liberty was ok, nothing great. The prices were lower than expedia, etc. for our original cancun honeymoon. At first, expedia seemed cheaper, but when we added direct flights, etc. the TA was cheaper. She changed all of our reservations to ARuba when Cancun was damaged, but we had to do all the research, work, etc.

Re: Liberty Travel
My FH used Liberty last year when he took me to Sandals Antigua for my birthday. We had no complaints. We're also using them for our honeymoon to Sandals St. Lucia and for my bachelorette party cruise in three weeks. I've been working with Gwen at the Garden City office on Franklin Avenue and she's been great!

Re: Liberty Travel
We're using Liberty Travel in Bayside and have had good experiences with them. Our TA has gotten us low fares and was able to save us a lot of $$.
