Liberty Travel for the HM??

Liberty Travel for the HM??

Anyone use them? For some reason I remember hearing that their prices are higher, is that correct? Experiences? Advice? Recommendations?

We are going to start looking around for our HM packages this week. Did you ladies visit several agents before you chose one or did you just shop around online for package prices?

I went to AMEX and liberty. Liberty was higher by 1000.00

Me too. I looked on every website, and liberty gave be the best price, by a few hundred to a thousand dollars.
It was also nice to book with someone, just in case there are any problems.

My family has used the one in garden city for years - they have set up amazing trips to hawaii, and europe for us over the years- we have never been disappointed with them.

I recommend using Liberty. We actually found a cheaper price from Delta vacations and they were able to match the price. I felt reassured using a person instead of a website to book. We have only used Liberty whenever we book a vacation.

We used Liberty for Hawaii. AFter we got a price, we went to two other travel agents and Liberty had the best!!

Liberty all the way! They gave us the best price (and we booked only 2 months before our wedding!)....we used Nicole in the Sayville location....we got the referral from luvsun27!

I use the one in Selden all the time..ALWAYS get the best and lowest prices!...used them to book our HM to Aruba too...

we used them for our honeymoon and are using them for our upcomign trip to paris too...we ofund them to be cheapest and they were supersweet!!

we started out at liberty, but ended up at in and out travel. I think it might depend on which liberty travel you go to and which tA.

if you go to liberty's website you can get a quote. i actually got an even lower price than quoted on the web when i went in to the store

let me tell you...a great decision!!!!!

first...we didn't overpay...they work on commission - so the hotel gives them 10% of what you paid for recpmmending you - but I guess they can negotiate with the hotel...

this is why I was SOOOO happy with them...the day before we left to spend 3 weeks in SPain...our agent called and told us that one of our hotels bumped us...this was a hotel that DH's uncle helped to open in the 1970's as a translator...but being that it was the summer on an island in the mediterranean...they bumped all non spaniards so we stopped in Barcelona first and our agent told us she would find somewhere else and call us at our hotel...we got a phonecall (from a different agent) who was CRYING b/c they found a hotel for us (very difficult since all of Europe has off in the summer)...she said the whole office had been working their butts off trying to find us a hotel...something I wouldn't want to deal with on my HM...if I had not used them

I booked with Patty at the Liberty Travel at the Third Ave. office in Manhattan. I got the best price from her. I still called for quotes from other places, and when I told an office my best rate quoted so far, she quoted me for $40 less each, but it was for a flight that had one connection as opposed to the direct flight Liberty offered. The direct flight was fully booked already (for November!), but I was put on a waiting list and got it.

I wanted to add, just call different places and get quotes, and you'll find the best price then by whoever's most reasonable for what they're offering. It might not hurt to say that you're looking for something lower than $_____ b/c that's what another travel agency quoted you. They might try to get you lower then.

I spent thursday calling and researching prices and so far liberty gave the best price... The garden city office..julissa. I have used them in the past and had no problems.. and she gave me a few options with no problems as I want to do at least 2wks.

The key to getting the cheapest deal at Liberty is to sign up for that prefered membership for $50.00. It saved me three hundred off a trip to the Bahamas.

I had already booked my HM through www.discount-allinclusive.com, but with the preferred membership, it would have been cheaper at Liberty Travel.

This membership pays for itself with the first trip, good for (If I remember correctly) 2 years. You get upgrades in rooms, discounts, meal credit, excursion credit and I think there was one to save on airfare.

I use Laura at the Liberty Travel in Metro Mall~Middle Village. But you can ask for the membership anywhere. Just say how much would I save if I bought the membership.
