Library of Congress

Does anyone know if they keep music lyrics info or just books/magazines?

Re: Library of Congress

I am looking for biography info on Lou Busch who co-wrote Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah with Allan Sherman. My boss asked me to go to the Donnell library and look for LofC info because he doesn't trust the bios you find online.

Oh yeah, this DOES pertain to work, just so you all don't think my boss has given me a weird task

hmmm....well if you mean you want to find bio info on the loc website, i'm not sure, but i'd tend to think they don't have it. if you mean actually going to the loc and finding a book on him i bet they do. they have a couple of different music reading rooms, although i've never been to any. not sure if this was helpful, but i tried! i work in washington and spend a lot of time at the loc in the copyright office, but i don't know a whole lot about the rest of the building. good luck!

Maybe I should check their website. Actually, I should probably call my liasion there who handles our Cataloging in Publication applications and may she can transfer me.

Thanks for your help!
