I would be so pissed! If he's like most guys, he'll turn it around and be mad at you for 'snooping.'

ugh i HATE that catch 22

I've been in this situation and while I get that it's a Catch-22 and that totally sux, I firmly believe that if, while snooping you actually find something incriminating, then it washes out their ability to be pissed at you for snooping because they were doing something DECIETFUL that they shouldn't have been doing in the first place. If there was nothing to be found, there would be no problem. Karma has a funny way of leading you to things.

At least that's how I look at it.....and seriously this arguement has worked

i agree...if you snoop and its nothing then yeah they can get mad otherwise they have no right to get mad but better believe some will actually turn it around but honestly its only to take the heat off themselves.

I agree and that is why neigher me or FH have accounts.

I understand that you have his password, but how did you know his account got hacked? Not that he is right for lying or hiding anything but I don't believe in snopping either -- having a password or not.

Good luck with your situation. I hope he doesn't turn it around and put the guilt on you for snooping. Men always has a way of switching the blame around. Let him know that you're glad you saw what you saw b/c if you trusted him to tell you the truth, then you'd be lied to all the time, and obviously you can't count on him to be trustworthy.

Good luck! =)

I get it -- so you don't have to go into someones account to know they got hacked -- good chance the cr*p got posted on her page? I don't use it so I don't really understand all of it.

Re: LIE-weddings.com

so i just had it out with him...he was very remorseful...like genuinely. I told him that if he felt he needed to seek out ladies from his past tand lie to me about it maybe we should postpone the wedding until I could trust him to be honest. He said he lied because he didn't want me to get mad that he kept in contact with his ex. he says he doesn't see her as a best friend or even a great friend but just someone he'd like to keep in touch with. so i replied with well if she's someone worth keeping as a friend why wouldn't you be honest with me and introduce her...I'll even cook dinner for her...or we'll go out for drinks but just be honest with me. he apologized and said he never meant to hurt me and whatever he needs to do to make me feel comfortable even if its delete his female contacts he'll do it. I don't want him to do that, I just need him to be honest and trust that I can be level headed and reasonable.

I know he hasn't physically cheated because i always know where he is and he USUALLY is an extremely honest and faithful person. but i told him that its not just in physical matters that i need to trust him but in matters of the heart as well. He understands and feels awful and says he understands why he was wrong.

yeah i saw a 'free ringtones' comment from him on my page and knew he was hacked so i went to change his pw. FH knows i know his pw because he gave it to me a while ago when he wanted me to fix his profile and he never changed it.

even still...FH and I have been together almost 8 yrs. He knows how I am and if I find something...I'll confront it even if i wasn't supposed to come across it or snoop for it. I'd rather take the consequences of being a snoop but get the answer to my questions and know how it might affect my long term relationship than stay quiet because i was in the wrong for snooping. If I didn't confront it, it probrably would have eaten me up...but hearing FH explain himself...I feel even more confident thats its not huge and we can continue on and learn from this experience. He said he learned a valuable lesson...and that was that honesty would have gone over more smoothly than lying in this instance.

why thank you! he acts like I don't have anybody from my past that still crosses my mind. I get it, I really do...he brought up that a yr ago i hung out with a guy that i used to be obsessed with in high school. but I was honest with him when I came in contact with a male from my past...I invited him over for a bbq when FH was home in the hopes that FH would see he was a cool guy and approve of him as someone who i could be trusted to hang out with and have a friendship with. and when i explained the difference in how i handled it Vs. how he handled it...he got it. thank god!

if shes not on his friends list then no but also she said it was a message, messages on myspace are the way FM's are on here and that means he wrote something himself...if it was a message sent to somebody it would be an advertisement

well don't get me wrong...at the beginning of the conversation it went more like 'YOU'RE A DEAD MAN, YOU LIED TO ME! this is not a friendship or a non serious relationship...WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!! how can i devote the rest of my life to you if I can't trust you to be honest?!?! you blatantly lied and said she contacted you...when come to find out it was the other way around.' followed by some more 'YOU LIED TO ME!!!' i almost lost my voice. and he was was like 'i never wanted this to upset you, i never wanted to argue with you, I don't want to argue' and I said 'tough tittie, I don't want to have to have this conversation either but thats not an option is it! this is a serious issue and is not going to get resolved over the phone, so be prepared to talk when you get home'

but he hates to leave things in limbo so we contunued to talk and we actually did resolve it over the phone.
