Our wedding is October 1st...I have things mentally planned, decided, etc.. and woosh, it changes...we are now buying a house --which is just added stress and confusion and less wedding cash...(but we LOVE this house)..now..i don't know what to get for my girls as gifts or anyone else~ i figured on a certain dollar amount for their gifts and now that has to be changed and the favors i picked are just not an option, there will be no favors anymore and no rehersal dinner- that is about $1,000 saved right there...I am okay with all of this, but I need NICE< Classy gifts for my 3 girls and not for too much $$$. Ideas please?! Thank you.

Sure, the first buget was about $150, i have 3 girls,
now, I don't know, it can't be $150... let's say between $75-100? and one girl is my s-i-l and my MOH is my best friend of 30+ years!

I got my girls mirrors from Miles Kimball. They were 10 bucks each and that includes engraving. I am getting them a few other things but this might help start you off.
I got my girls little wristelets/makeup bags that were beaded with their initials and/or their horoscope sign by Ann Taylor. They were $15 each. They were very happy with them....

I got my girls jewelry for the day of the wedding ($15) and Coach wristlets (at the outlets they are $35-45) I might get them something else, to spend a little more.

My friend told me to go to this store Violets Blue in Sayville. The lady has everything. Jewelry, all wedding stuff and cheap. She got beautiful earrings and bracelet for like $30-50. That is great. If you want to do some favors you can get them for cheap. Let me know. Trust me I know what you are talking about we bought a house last october so I love having a house, but that is so much less money to use for the wedding. I have bills every month that have to be paid-you know a mortgage. The house really killed me. The closing costs itself are crazy. Where are you buying a house?

Maybe pay for their hair & then a nice engraved compact? I once got a beautiful engraved picture frame. Then the bride had us pick our fave proof and gave us each a 5x7 of that picture for it. I LOVE not having another empty frame laying around!

the house is in east patchogue off of south country road, ONE block from the great south bay; we love it, but will be flat broke!!! yikes!

That's a big budget to work with.
If you really want to save money, you can borrow this idea.
We got a 3-layer glass pane frames (8 x 10' total) and compiled pictures that for each person in the BP. I think it was called 'Field's Afar Ether Large Frame' Picture Frame
Everyone seemed to like it...it is more work, but less cost so it's worth the extra effort! We spent months stealing pictures from friends and family!
And we got something else for everyone too...

Sandra, remember, these people are special to you and do not need an expen$ive gift to feel appreciated. $$ does not define the friendship, and especially knowing you are buying a house...my MOH isn't getting a gift from me. just a massage 2 days before the wedding. And yes, forget the dust-collector favors. At our age, people no longer want them. The last 3 weddings I went to, the B&G were over 35, and no favors at either. Thank God! (If I want a bottle of wine I'll buy my own, thank you. That's not what people are at the wedding for!)
