OK, So my wedding is during the day & I really like it when weddings have a light show because it kind of gives you that club feeling & makes you want to get up and dance. FH hates lights & is happy that we are having a day wedding because in his mind I will not try to push having lights.
Do you guys think it is ridiculous to have lights during a day wedding? If we pull the drapes shut & dim the lights I think it may work..... TIA

i personally want it for my own wedding, but I have been to other people's and I agree it transforms to a fun dance-style party

i agree that it does transform the place... we didn't use them because our wedding was semi outside and it just couldn't compete with the full moon outside.

i had a daytime wedding. you wouldn't have seen it since it was so bright. we shut the drapes, which made it darker, but you wouldn't have seen them at all.
more important, if your FH hates the idea, don't do it. this wedding is for both of you and if he feels that strongly, don't do it

I couldn't agree w/ SB06 more. My FH wanted to be carried in to the ceremony (like a king) by a pack of midgets (I so wish I was kidding). He told everyone his plan. He even contacted some wrestling company to hire them for the day. I stressed how important it was that we not have any human degredation- and in the end compromised that we'd enter the reception to the theme of the Chicago Bulls, and introduce the bridal party (and us) as the starting lineup.
The longwinded point is this- if he doesn't want it- find a COMPROMISE- it will be the first of many.

Well, I he doesn't really HATE the idea of having lights in general, he doesn't like the idea of having them for a day wedding.
