Definitely try to go through your DJ. From my experience the cost of uplighting ranges based on the size of the room and number of uplights needed. I am paying $400 through my DJ for uplighting
We got ours through our DJ, and it cost $400 for the up lighting. He said it can stay one color during dinner, and if we want, change with the beat of the music later on. Still on the fence on that one since I don't want it to be too club. CB has some up lighting already, but we Thought it would be good to add a little more to set the mood.
Your DJ can do them. My future SIL's fiancé also owns a company and he is very very reasonable and does a great job. I have seen his lighting. If you are interested I will FM you her contact info!
