FH and I are looking into having lighting at our reception - its not ambiance lighting its more like lighting that would typically go along with the DJ....we are having either 2 or 4 flatscreen TV's and lighting with our DJ but we also want those laser lights - i guess like ones that you'd see in a club - I think they are usually green? they look like lines coming from the ceiling.....and they can go with the music i think.....FH doesnt think his DJ company has these lights.....does anyone know what i am talking about? and any vendor reccomendations?

Re: Lighting Question
Yes I know exactly what your talking about. Get IN TUne productions does great lighting. Actually the guys who does the lighting for him does the MTV music award lighting. I just won a upgraded light show from them at a bridal show. They are located in Lake Ronkonkoma on Portion Road. Ask for GLen
Most DJ companies have the 'club lights'. We've only met with one DJ company so far and they had them. Check out FM Entertainment.

Re: Lighting Question
FH works for a DJ company so we are getting soup to nuts for a great price......he just never used these type of lights before and isnt sure if anyone in the company has them to use.....
this is something we'd like (well i really want it ) but it isnt necessary - so its one of those things that if we can afford it we'll do it - but if not its not a big deal.....
anyone have any idea how much this costs? im hoping since the DJ wont be that much we can add this on......i want to feel like im at club Mulligan

Re: Lighting Question
I read the subject too quickly and thought it said lightening question. I was thinking, 'Why would they want lightening at their wedding?'

Re: Lighting Question
I think it's called 'intelligent lighting.' Our friends are dj'ing our wedding and they're throwing that in for free. But I think normally it would cost a few hundred to throw that in? like low hundreds. But if you have connections, it'll probably be less.
