Lighting question

Lighting question

So I'm having a dilemma. I met with our DJ yesterday to talk about what packages he offers, etc. Then he showed us videos with his different lighting options. Of course I was blown away and not by the package right above ours but the one above that! lol Originally I thought I wouldn't even need any additional lighting since I do have uplighting included already. The lighting I liked in the video were called 'intelligent lighting' plus the gobo on the floor. With the intelligent lighting he says he'll be able to put a spot light on us for when we enter the room, cut the cake, etc.

I wanted to find out what you ladies thought? Would people be able to see us just find without added lighting? and for those times like our entrance, cake cutting, first dance are the lights dimmed up so people can see and take pictures?

I've never seen the spotlight you mention so it's hard to say. But I got the gobo light too. Loved it we're gonna shine ours on the ceiling though, not the floor. We have these vaulted-tented ceilings.

Thanks. The Gobo light seems like it'll look amazing on those ceilings.

are you booked with bravura? I remember seeing a video on their intelligent lighting so I wasn't sure if it was the same one you saw... I like just the uplighting personally though. I think it's very elegant. I think that even though the other lighting options were so cool, it was a little too 'clubby' for me.

omg I thought the same thing about the package right above the basic one I have! lol I was like eh, it looks like a sweating club. lol It's not Bravura. I'm booked with URE events. Right now I just have their 4 hour basic reception.
