Friends of mine did it a few summers ago for their wedding. The pictures of it turned out great- especially the ones that they did in black and white.

I saw this at a wedding a few weeks ago...they lit the sparklers as the couple left the reception hall... it was really nice...

I want to do this, especially since our wedding is the Thurs b4 Forth of July! I have wanted to do Sparklers even before we'd set our date.

well it sounds like others have had more positive experiences (which is good), but my friend did it for her wedding a few years back and it became very smokey, very quickly. if she could do over her wedding she definitely wouldn't do it again.hmmmm, maybe others used a different type of sparkler than she did

A lot of places won't let you do it because I guess it's some sort of fire hazard. Neither my church nor reception hall would allow it.

Re: Lighting Sparklers instead of throwing rice or petals???
Im still debating this. I have the sparklers but Im not sure if it will be effective during the day. My church wont allow me to throw anything, so I had planned on using the sparklers instead. I didnt ask if they were permitted, but I figured if it wasnt on the list of 'donts' then its ok.

As I am actually getting married on July 4th (and I am a history teacher... not intentional) I am hoping to do this but have yet to look into it. I'm hoping to aty least have them on the cake. If the reception doesn't allow it... maybe the groom's cake (also his B-day cake) at the RD.Welcome New Vendors
