I am very confused about the lighting packages at DJ companies. Does everyone get lights? What type is just enough but doesn't make it look like a prom or club? Ahh!!! TIA

I am having the same problem. Apparently the Intelligent Lighting is the way to go but I don't really know what that means. I'm having such a hard time finding a DJ!!! GL!

I didnt go by light packages. Most light packages are the color lights and tacky stuff that make the dance floor feel like a club. Sorry its not a club its my wedding. Dont go by the lights to pick a DJ. (JMO) I would ask each DJ what they include and mean by their light descriptions.

my DJ package came with 2 lights. I was VERY worried it would look cheesey but it actually looked great in my room. We used Starlight Express adn my DH swears their lighting is one of the best of the DJ companies. I personally dont know the difference. But I was very happy with how it looked and it didn't look cheesy. Ill try to find a pic to show you...

They did some colored which I was nervous about, but it actually looked okay and wasn't directly on the floor. So I didn't think it had a clubby feel. I was also worried it was going to take away from the ambiance I created with my centerpieces, but it didn't.

I felt the same way- I didn't want it to look clubby!!!

Almost every DJ I visited explained what the different lighting packages do and how'd they look in the size RH we're in. Most of them explained, 'use this package if you just want a splash of color' or 'use this one if you want it to look like a club'.

We booked with FM and some lights were standard with package and they also showed us what other lights would look like or could do at the showcase in their Lynbrook location
